The course accompanies the lecture in the History of English Literature and focuses on analysing and discussing canonical works of English literature from the Old English period to the Age of Johnson, reaching the pre-Romantic trends.

The aim of the course is to familiarise the students with the history of English literature from its origins in the Old English period to the pre-Romantic trends in the late 18th c. 

The e-course has been designed to help the students consolidate and revise the information provided in the lecture as well as expand on each topic through a variety of multimedia resources, with a view to enhancing the students' learning process and their preparation for the final examination due in the summer exam session.
