In the summer term, the aim of the lectures is to familiarise students with the most important trends and the most influential works of 20th and 21st c. British literature set against the background of the main currents, genres and conventions of literature, programmatic and aesthetical and philosophical assumptions, including the social, historical and cultural background of literature.
The aim of the classes in summer term is to familiarise students with the most influential issues, authors and works of British literature of the 20th and 21st centuries through an in-depth analysis of selected literary works or their fragments. In addition, the classes aim to broaden the skills of literary analysis and interpretation by pointing out the intertextuality of literature and its integrity with the socio-historical situation, and philosophical and aesthetic trends of the discussed periods.
